Feminists Should Fight the Dept. of Education’s Redefinition of Sex

October 17, 2017

By: Bob Trent

Late last year Germaine Greer, a noted feminist, was set to speak at her alma mater in Great Britain. At the last minute her speech was cancelled because her college believed her views on transgenderism were problematic. Greer had the audacity to say that someone who is born male is not able to fully experience life as a woman.

“Feminists should fight the Department of Education’s redefinition of sex” is an article by Alliance Defending Freedom legal counsel Christen Price that recently appeared in Public Discourse. Price quotes America feminist Janice Raymond who raises the same point that men lack the historical and biological perspective to understand what it means to be a woman and even takes it up a notch, “the phenomenon of men identifying as women is simply the latest chapter in a long history of men appropriating women’s bodies.”

On Freedom Matters this week, we discuss the false partnership between the progressive movement and feminism and ask why more feminists aren’t speaking out about this issue.
