ATLANTA — Alliance Defense Fund Senior Legal Counsel David French will be available to answer questions from the media following a hearing tomorrow regarding a civil rights lawsuit filed against university officials at Georgia Institute of Technology. Tomorrow’s hearing addresses ADF’s motion for preliminary injunction, which would, if granted, restrain Georgia Tech officials from enforcing their “speech code.”
“Universities are supposed to be the marketplace of ideas,” said French, who heads up ADF’s Center for Academic Freedom. “Despite that, Georgia Tech officials are enforcing draconian speech codes that prohibit any kind of speech they consider to be ‘intolerant.’”
