Supreme Court of the United States

In the matter of Kurowski and Kurowski (Voydatch)

Last Updated: 6/2/2020

The New Hampshire Supreme Court upheld a lower court order forcing a homeschooled student into a government-run school against her mother’s wishes. The court clarified larger religious liberty and homeschooling concerns were not part of the decision, and that the ruling was based solely on the narrow and specific facts of the case. An Alliance Defending Freedom allied attorney represented the child's mother, who objected to a lower court’s order.
