Jordan Carpenter joined ADF in 2023

Jordan Carpenter serves as legal counsel for the Center for Legislative Advocacy at Alliance Defending Freedom where he focuses on legislation protecting parental rights.

Before joining ADF, Carpenter was executive vice president and general counsel for Artisent Floors in Memphis, Tennessee. He also practiced as an associate with a civil defense litigation firm in Chattanooga. Prior to becoming an attorney, Carpenter served as a psychological operations specialist in the United States Army and Army Reserve. He deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq, earning the Bronze Star Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, and Combat Action Badge.

Carpenter earned his J.D. from Vermont Law School, graduating cum laude in 2016. While at VLS, he was a Student Bar Association senator, a member of the Federalist Society, and an editor of the Vermont Law Review.

Carpenter is admitted to practice law in Tennessee.
