Legal Counsel
Jordan Carpenter serves as legal counsel for the Center for Public Policy at Alliance Defending Freedom. His work focuses on legislation protecting the fundamental rights of parents to direct the upbringing, education, and care of their children.
Before joining ADF, Carpenter practiced law in Tennessee. Prior to becoming an attorney, Carpenter served as a psychological operations specialist in the United States Army and Army Reserve. He deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq, earning the Bronze Star Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, and Combat Action Badge.
Carpenter received his J.D. from Vermont Law School, graduating cum laude in 2016. While at VLS, he was a Student Bar Association senator, a student member of the Federalist Society, and an editor of the Vermont Law Review. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama.
Carpenter is a member of the Federalist Society. He is admitted to practice law in Tennessee and Georgia.
