Legal Counsel
Mikayla Culbertson serves as legal counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom, where she is a member of the Center for Christian Ministries. In this role, Culbertson represents churches and ministries in constitutional litigation.
Prior to joining ADF, she worked as an associate at Sidley Austin LLP in Dallas, where she focused on commercial litigation and disputes, as well as free exercise pro bono matters. Culbertson also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Michael T. Liburdi of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.
Culbertson received her J.D. in 2023 from The University of Chicago Law School, where she served as President of the Mental Health Advocacy Project and represented pro bono clients through the Employment Law Clinic. She earned her B.A., summa cum laude, in honors Psychology and Law from the University of Arizona in 2020. She is admitted to practice in Texas.
