Ferris v. Stiver

cross and sunset

Summary

The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles denied a woman's application to renew a specialty license plate because it contained a reference to God. In the wake of a lawsuit filed by ADF attorneys, Indiana officials agreed to revert to using an older policy of approving specialty plates, which does not eliminate messages that refer to religions or deities.
