Government officials and schools continue to punish and threaten teachers and students for their beliefs, and even infringe on parents’ right to direct their child’s upbringing and education.

But your right to live and speak according to what you believe is fundamental to our Constitution—and that right doesn’t get checked at the door of a classroom.

Your gift today will help us keep defending your free speech rights in every sphere, including schools.

Alliance Defending Freedom has been on the front lines of this issue. We continue to support clients around the country to ensure their right to speak freely is preserved in the classroom, including:

  • Liam Morrison, a student who was silenced by his middle school for wearing a shirt that read, “There are only two genders.” We’re still defending Liam’s right to speak truth about gender, even when it conflicts with the school’s position.
  • Monica Gill, a high school teacher in Loudoun County, Virginia. After a new district policy required teachers to refer to students using pronouns that are inconsistent with their biological sex, Monica stepped up to challenge this effort to compel educators to speak falsehoods to their students.
  • E.D., a high school student whose student-run pro-life club was shut down by the school for expressing messages it deemed “too political.” E.D., represented by Charitable Allies and alongside ADF attorneys, continues to fight in court against this attack on free speech.

The rights of clients like Liam, Monica, and E.D. don’t end when they’re in school. Each of us has the God-given right to speak according to our beliefs—without government punishment.

Will you give today to help defend free speech in classrooms in your community?
