That’s why nurse practitioner Chelsea Mynyk is challenging a Colorado law. And according to Mackenna, one of Chelsea’s patients, her baby girl wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Chelsea’s courage in in administering life-saving progesterone treatment, despite a state law that would have prevented her from doing so.

When Mackenna found out she was pregnant, she panicked and, thanks to the FDA’s systematic and reckless removal of safeguards, she obtained chemical abortion drugs through the mail. She took the first of the two drugs—mifepristone, which is designed to end the life of her child.

But she immediately regretted her decision, and was quickly connected with Chelsea, who walked her through the Abortion Pill Reversal process. Praise God—today her baby is safe in her arms, but if Colorado lawmakers had their way, her story would have ended in tragedy. Colorado’s law specifically prohibits all medical professionals from providing abortion pill reversal.

Since the end of Roe v. Wade, pro-life Americans have had new opportunities to protect unborn life in states across the country. But the Biden FDA’s efforts to circumvent pro-life state laws by allowing mail-order abortions means that we must continue to advocate in the courtroom, in statehouses, and in the culture.

  • Jean Marie Davis—she leads Branches Pregnancy Resource Center, which had to sue the State of Vermont to secure their right to serve women and help protect unborn life in their community. The state had targeted ministries and organizations like theirs unlawfully.
  • First Choice Women’s Resource Centers—this pro-life pregnancy center has been impermissibly targeted by the New Jersey attorney general, who is using an unfounded investigation to harass and impede the work of the organization because of its pro-life views. Its case was argued at the U.S. Supreme Court this term.

At the heart of every one of these cases is an attempt to deny the God-given right to life. Governments have a duty to protect life at all stages of development.
