She’s followed God’s call to open her heart and her home to kids in need, but the state would rather children stay in cramped group homes, or even hotel rooms. Children often wait nearly two years for a home in Oregon. The state is prioritizing their ideological agenda, but thankfully, the court ruled that Jessica can continue her adoption journey while the case continues.
• Joe and Serena Wailes—a radical school policy led to their fifth-grade daughter being assigned to share a room with a boy on an overnight school-sponsored trip. No one asked them if this was acceptable, and if their daughter had not uncovered what the school had concealed, she would have spent the night in a bed with a boy. Joe and Serena are suing the school district to prevent this from happening to any other children.
• Dan and Jennifer Mead—their 13-year-old daughter’s school district “socially transitioned” her behind their backs. They trusted school officials to be honest and transparent with them about their daughter’s education and healthcare. But school staff betrayed the Meads’ trust by using male pronouns and a masculine name for their daughter without telling them. The Meads felt forced to pull their daughter out of the district and sue to protect their— and every parents’—fundamental right to direct the upbringing, education, and healthcare of their children.
