Pray for Our Nation in Honor of Our Fallen Heroes

Memorial Day is a unique opportunity to remember those who have given their lives in defense of our fundamental, God-given freedoms.

While we know that our rights are “endowed by [our] Creator,” they are often safeguarded by the blood of courageous men and women on the battlefield.

That’s who we honor today.

It is our duty to remember and honor the fallen. As the original Decoration Day (later changed to Memorial Day) order proclaimed: “Let no vandalism of avarice or neglect, no ravages of time testify to the present or to the coming generations that we have forgotten as a people the cost of a free and undivided republic.”

Today, let us join together in remembrance for those we know—and those we never met—who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

And then, let’s pray for the future of the freedom they died to protect.

Will you commit to praying for our country today?

  • Pray for those in authority, that they might seek to do justice.
  • Pray that our freedom to live, to speak, to worship, and to raise our families might not infringed by our government.
  • Pray that the power of the Gospel might lift the veil over the eyes of those who oppose Him, that they might be drawn “out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9).

This is the power of the alliance. Our ability to “draw near to the throne of grace” with confidence—knowing that God hears our prayers and is able to move in the hearts of men.

Thank you for your commitment to pray for our country!
