Help Defend Jack Phillips
The Colorado Court of Appeals just punished Jack for not designing a custom pink-and-blue cake celebrating a gender transition that an activist attorney requested. Alliance Defending Freedom will appeal the decision.
When will it end? After ten years, Jack Phillips is still fighting for his right to speak freely.
Even though the State of Colorado abandoned its prosecution of the cake artist, a local attorney is now going after Jack in civil court.
What’s happened to Jack is a blatant of example of activists targeting, harassing, and punishing those who disagree with their beliefs.
“Free speech is for everyone. No one should be forced to express a message that violates their core beliefs,” said ADF Senior Counsel Jake Warner, who argued before the court on behalf of Phillips in Scardina v. Masterpiece Cakeshop. “Over a decade ago, Colorado officials began targeting Jack, misusing state law to force him to say things he does not believe. Then an activist attorney continued that crusade. This cruelty must stop.”
Opponents of religious freedom have worked tirelessly to strip away your freedom to say what you believe without fear of government punishment. And they’re going to extreme lengths to punish those—like Jack—who are willing to stand for their faith.
