Joe Kim

Joe Kim serves as legal counsel for the Corporate Engagement Team at Alliance Defending Freedom. He advises businesses and corporate leaders on faith-related workplace issues and encourages them to live out their faith in all their decisions, practices, and policies.

Kim previously worked at a large firm in Maryland, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and early-stage company formation and governance.

Kim earned his Juris Doctor in 2024 from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where he completed the Business Law Track and competed on the Transactional Law Team. During his time in law school, he gained broad experience working at various institutions, including the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland, and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Kim earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is a member of the Maryland bar.
