Jeremy Samek

Senior Counsel


Jeremy Samek serves as senior counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom’s Center for Public Policy, working to combat global censorship and advance religious liberty, free speech, parental rights, and the protection of life. He has authored state legislation, local ordinances, and public and private school policies, and regularly provides legal analysis, presentations, and testimony on the impact of proposed laws on fundamental rights.

Samek has represented employees, business owners, parents, educators, and school boards in matters involving religious freedom, speech, privacy, and accommodation, and has worked on significant U.S. Supreme Court cases, including Groff v. DeJoy and Burwell v. Hobby Lobby. He has also represented women in cases involving protection from coerced abortion.

Prior to joining ADF in 2026, Samek served for over a decade on the litigation and policy teams at Pennsylvania Family Institute and Independence Law Center, and eight years litigating cases in federal and state courts, the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, and the Court of International Trade at Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Samek is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, the State Bar of Pennsylvania, and several federal district and appellate courts. He has been interviewed by numerous media outlets, including Face the State, ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC affiliates. He was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and deployed in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Samek earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2006, where he was a research editor of the Law Review, and his B.A. from Liberty University.
