Legal Counsel
Christine Marsden serves as legal counsel for the Center for Free Speech at Alliance Defending Freedom, where she defends free speech by challenging laws, policies, and individuals that restrict or coerce speech.
Prior to joining ADF, Marsden was a legal associate at the Cato Institute, where she wrote amicus briefs arguing against government overreach, including on issues such as commercial speech and regulatory overreach.
Marsden graduated from Antonin Scalia Law School in 2024, where she served on the National Security Law Journal, and she is a member of the Virginia Bar. During law school, she interned with the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children and Shared Hope International, working to combat human trafficking. Marsden received her B.A. in Public Policy and Theatre Arts from the University of Redlands in Southern California.
