SC governor signs bill protecting female students’ privacy, safety

The following quote may be attributed to Alliance Defending Freedom Legal Counsel Sara Beth Nolan regarding South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster’s signing Friday of HB 4756, a bill that protects the privacy and safety of women and girls at public colleges and K-12 schools:

“Women and girls shouldn’t be forced to sacrifice their privacy and safety in the name of promoting gender ideology. Allowing men to invade women’s most intimate spaces—including changing rooms and restrooms—compromises their dignity. Forcing a girl to sleep overnight with a male against her will is not acceptable. HB 4756 ensures that the private spaces of women and girls at public universities and K-12 schools are not open to men. It rightly prioritizes privacy and safety over ideology. We commend the South Carolina Legislature and Gov. McMaster for standing up for women and young girls across the state.”
