Biden admin’s Title IX rule guts protections, equal opportunities for women

The following quote may be attributed to Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Christiana Kiefer regarding the U.S. Department of Education’s proposed rule published Tuesday that illegitimately rewrites Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and violates constitutionally and legally protected freedoms:

“While chasing a radical political agenda, President Biden and his education secretary have dismantled Title IX and, with it, equal opportunities for women. In addition to denying women a fair and level playing field in sports, the administration’s new rule could impose widespread harms, including depriving students and professors of free speech on campus, requiring doctors to perform medical procedures that violate their conscience and professional ethics, and allowing men into women’s showers and dorm rooms. We will continue to defend brave female athletes, students, professors, doctors, and others against this reckless executive overreach.
