Centro Familiar Cristiano Buenas Nuevas Christian Church v. City of Yuma

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit ruled that the city violated federal law against treating churches unequally in zoning matters. Centro Familiar Cristiano Buenos Nuevas Christian Church was forced to continue paying the mortgage on a building the city would not allow it to use. The church is now able to seek damages, including payment for costs incurred during the legal battle.
