Mark Tjernagel
Executive Vice President
Mark Tjernagel serves as Executive Vice President of Operations with Alliance Defending Freedom. In that role he provides leadership to the Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Facilities, Security, Events, and Audio-Visual teams.
Tjernagel joined ADF in 2024 after 33 years with Cru in various finance and operations roles. For the last 19 years, he served as the Chief Financial Officer. In addition to his CFO role, he has held board and officer roles in various entities related to Cru, including roles with the Cru Foundation, Unto, The Kings College, and New Life Insurance. Outside of Cru, he also previously served on the boards of the Christian Leadership Alliance and The Foundation for Foster Children.
Tjernagel and his wife, Colette, reside in Virginia. They have four adult children and a growing number of grandchildren.
