Thank you for signing the petition to urge the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to keep women’s sports for women!

You’ve added your name alongside Americans who say the NCAA has gone too far. Your signature is a crucial step to support Brooke Slusser and protect women in sports.

In schools all across the country, men identifying as women compete on women’s sports teams. Not only does this create an unfair disadvantage for female athletes, but it threatens the privacy and safety of their own teammates. The San Jose State University (SJSU) women’s volleyball team experienced this issue firsthand.

Brooke Slusser shared a room for months with Blaire Fleming before Brooke found out that Blaire is male.

Brooke told her coaches she was uncomfortable with a male player competing on the women’s volleyball team, but they told the entire team not to speak publicly about Blaire’s true sex.

Those circumstances, as well as fear for the safety of herself and others, led Brooke to join a lawsuit against the Mountain West Conference.

Even with a new administration heading into office, the fight to keep women in women’s sports continues. Our work is not yet done.

While we expect President Trump to reverse the changes the Biden-Harris administration made to Title IX, it won’t be enough. The NCAA and major conferences need to adopt clear policies to protect women’s sports.
