By God’s grace, Alliance Defending Freedom has been at the forefront of the defense of religious freedom, free speech, marriage and family, and life since our founding in 1994.

We’re not pursuing success in court for the sake of flashy wins or even short-term goals. Rather, through the generosity of our Ministry Friends, we’re committed to defending freedom for the long haul, to secure Generational Wins.

These are the wins that help change the law and culture of our nation for a generation. For the glory of God, we long to see life safeguarded, religious freedom prevailing, free speech valued, marriage and family protected, and parental rights upheld—for generations to come.

The generosity of our Ministry Friends makes these victories possible. Through their support, we’re able to represent our clients in court completely free of charge all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.

We have played various roles in 77 Supreme Court victories, and since 2011, we have directly secured 15 victories at the Supreme Court. These victories have been on behalf of pastors, churches, religious organizations, college students, family-owned businesses, pro-life pregnancy centers, town councils, and many others.

And this Supreme Court term is busy.

The U.S. Supreme Court has already agreed to hear two of our cases. In one case, out of Oklahoma, we’re standing for educational freedom by defending a charter school board’s decision to approve a religious charter school. Families should have more—not fewer—educational options for their children. But the state’s attorney general filed a discriminatory lawsuit against the board’s approval of the school—just because the school is religious.

In the second case, we’re arguing for South Carolina’s freedom to direct Medicaid funds away from abortion providers like Planned Parenthood. States should be free to defund abortion facilities. And this case could help make that happen.

These cases can greatly affect religious freedom and life across the country. And it’s this kind of work that our Ministry Friends are helping to make possible.
