Legal Counsel


Kelsey Catina serves as legal counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom’s Center for Parental Rights. Before joining ADF, she served as Assistant Solicitor General for the state of Alabama, where she argued multiple cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She then joined the Supreme Court and Appellate practice group at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. She clerked for Judge Andrew Brasher on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and for Judge Marina Garcia Marmolejo on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Catina earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2018. During her time at Harvard Law School, she was on the articles board and the deputy managing editor for the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy as well as the women’s membership chair for Harvard’s chapter of the Federalist Society. She also participated in the Harvard Mediation Program, where she was the training director and co-president. She received her B.A. summa cum laude,from the University of Alabama in 2015, where she majored in English, Spanish, and Philosophy with a concentration in jurisprudence.

A 2016 Blackstone Fellow, Catina is admitted to the state bars of Alabama, New York, Washington, and Washington, D.C. She is also admitted to multiple federal district and appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.
