Dr. James C. Dobson

More than 30 years ago, Dr. James C. Dobson founded Focus on the Family to undergird Christian values for families in today’s world. What began with a radio program on a few stations in 1977 has grown to a network of more than 3,000 facilities in North America – with thousands more in 160 countries worldwide – plus a daily commentary heard by more than 220 million people.

After a long history of service with Focus on the Family, Dr. Dobson retired from the ministry he founded in February, 2010, and launched a new daily radio program, Family Talk, which is heard on Christian radio stations across the country.
