First Choice Women’s Resource Centers is a faith-based pregnancy center with five locations serving women and families across New Jersey. Aimee Huber and her team walk with women in vulnerable moments—offering educational resources, material support like baby clothes and food, and the hope that they are not alone. They never charge a dime.

But now, this compassionate ministry is facing government intimidation.

New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin has launched an aggressive and unfounded investigation into First Choice—despite not receiving a single complaint against the nonprofit.

His office issued a sweeping subpoena demanding years of sensitive information, including the names, phone numbers, and addresses of First Choice’s donors. His justification? An absurd claim that donors may have been “confused” because First Choice does not perform abortions.

And the hostility doesn’t stop there. The AG previously issued a consumer alert targeting pregnancy centers—and he even let Planned Parenthood preview and edit his draft, thanking them for their “partnership.”

This isn’t law enforcement. This is ideological harassment disguised as an investigation.

That’s why ADF is standing with First Choice at the U.S. Supreme Court. ADF is defending First Choice against the Attorney General’s unlawful intrusion on its First Amendment rights—including its freedom to donor privacy and freedom from government retaliation.

No government official should be allowed to weaponize their power to punish Americans just because they disagree with their beliefs.
