Many medical professionals seek to honor their faith and ethics in their everyday work—but challenges to their freedom of conscience threaten their ability to do so.
In Chelsea Mynyk’s case, she is pushing back on a state law that forbids her from providing life-affirming care in her practice.
A nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife in Colorado, Chelsea provides care to women and their babies in alignment with her belief that all life is created by God. It’s that core value that led her to provide the life-saving option of Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) to a young woman who regretted taking the first abortion drug.
This young woman credits Chelsea’s care with saving the life of her baby girl.
But state law forbids Chelsea from even informing patients about APR. Now, the nursing board is unjustly investigating her for providing life-saving care in line with her values.
This is wrong. How would you feel if the government targeted you just for living by your faith?
You can help us work to stop this.
Your gift today will help protect conscience rights by…
- Defending people, including medical professionals like Chelsea, in court, at no cost to them, when their rights are threatened
- Fighting harmful laws that force healthcare professionals to violate their consciences in cases across the country—and all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court
- Advancing legislation that protects your right to live out your faith, without government interference
Will you give today to stand up for the conscience rights of all people, including medical professionals?
