Help Stop Discrimination Against Families with Biblical Beliefs

As a mother of five, Jessica knows what it’s like to provide a loving home. And as a widow, she knows what it’s like to lose a part of your family.

So after hearing about another person’s adoption story, she felt inspired to make a happy home for children in need in the state of Oregon.

But in Oregon, parents like Jessica must agree to use a child’s preferred pronouns, take children to LGBT-affirming events like Pride parades, and facilitate a child’s access to dangerous pharmaceutical interventions like puberty blockers and hormone shots that can sterilize a young child.

The Oregon Department of Human Services rules force Jessica and all Oregon families to accept their views on marriage and sexuality or be left out of foster care services.

What’s left are children without a loving home like Jessica’s, and a state-mandated acceptance of radical gender ideology—just to serve others and help children.

It’s wrong. It’s illegal. It’s discrimination.

Since Jessica refused to go against her religious beliefs, Oregon denied her application to adopt, discriminating against her religious views.

The state gave Jessica a choice: abandon her religious convictions or forgo the possibility of ever adopting any child.

Alliance Defending Freedom is representing Jessica in a lawsuit against Oregon’s Department of Human Services to stop its religious discrimination and to allow Jessica and others like her to help children in need.

ADF is standing with Jessica and all Americans against prejudice from the government for their religious beliefs. Will you step in and help support this critical case and others like it with a generous gift today?

Our generous Ministry Friends are the lifeline to helping families like Jessica’s, and with your support we can make a critical impact to protect religious freedom both now and for the next generation.

We need more families willing to take in children, not fewer. When the government wrongly discriminates against people of faith from adoption and foster care, children in need suffer.

That’s why Jessica’s case is so important. Will you give today?
