In Connecticut alone, two male athletes have taken 15 women’s track and field championship titles that were previously held by nine different girls.

Female athletes like Selina Soule, Chelsea Mitchell, and Alanna Smith devote countless days, nights, and weekends to training in order to shave mere fractions of a second off their race times. But now it doesn’t matter. They will never be able to compete against males.

These athletes are losing scholarships, athletic opportunities, and dreams of competing at the next level. This isn’t “progress.” And it’s not fair.

That’s why Selina, Chelsea, and Alanna have filed a lawsuit against the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference. The outcome of this case could impact young women nationwide.
