John Lane/Montana Board of Pharmacy

Last Updated: 6/2/2020

Overview

Summary

A Montana pro-life pharmacist was slapped with complaints after he refused to dispense contraceptives and the so-called "morning after" pill because of his sincerely-held religious beliefs. ADF-allied attorney Matthew Monforton represented the pharmacist, John Lane, before the Montana Board of Pharmacy, with assistance from ADF attorneys Byron Babione and David Sheasby. The board later dropped all the complaints against Mr. Lane, stating that he had not violated the law.
