Doe v. Montgomery County

Last Updated: 5/29/2020

Groups advocating the creation of special legal rights for sexually-confused individuals contested a court decision allowing more than 900,000 voters to express their objection to a so-called "gender identity" bill. ADF attorneys representing a citizen voter coalition, Maryland Citizens for Responsible Government, filed a friend-of-the-court brief contending that petitions to put the measure on the ballot were valid and that Montgomery County voters have a right to vote on the bill.
