Why Sue Thayer Would Testify Against Former Employer Planned Parenthood

After 17 years at a job with good benefits and close to home, why would Sue Thayer leave her managerial position at Planned Parenthood? What would make her then decide to testify against her former employer at the second House Judiciary Committee hearing tomorrow?

It's pretty simple really. Despite Planned Parenthood's campaign to convince the American public that they prioritize women's health above all else, what they actually do is very different. Sue witnessed firsthand the profit-oriented nature of Planned Parenthood. From abortion quotas to selling birth control pills and billing Medicaid over ten times of the cost of the pills, Planned Parenthood is a profit machine.

Watch the video below to see Sue explain in greater detail how Planned Parenthood generates millions of dollars in profit as a "non-profit."

The real tipping point for Sue at Planned Parenthood was when it was announced that all Planned Parenthood facilities would begin offering "telemed" abortions, AKA webcam abortions.

"Managers are urged to aggressively sell as many women as possible on these low-cost, high-profit chemical abortions—no matter the danger to women," she says. "Planned Parenthood charges these women the same fee for a webcam abortion that they'd pay for seeing a doctor face-to-face."

The only safety net given to women when they left Planned Parenthood after receiving a webcam abortion was a card with an 800 number for a nurse. If something went wrong, the nurse would simply refer the woman to the nearest ER (perhaps to receive some real healthcare?).  When Sue spoke up about her concerns with the poor level of care women would receive, she was fired.

Sue explains the realities of webcam abortions in the video below.

Since leaving Planned Parenthood, Sue, who is a mother of six and has fostered over 100 children, has dedicated her life to speaking out against abortion and about Planned Parenthood's disregard for the health and safety of women. ADF has filed a "whistle-blower" lawsuit on her behalf as she continues to speak up about the myriad ways the company’s practices endanger the very women it claims to serve.

Recently, she joined ADF team members at the Family Leadership Regional Summit in her home state of Iowa and an Assembly Health Committee public hearing in Wisconsin to testify regarding public funding of Planned Parenthood.

For Thursday's congressional hearing, Sue will join former abortion doctor, turned pro-life activist Dr. Anthony Levatino in speaking out against Planned Parenthood's practices.

Take Action:

  • Please be in prayer for Sue as she prepares to testify and during the hearing itself. We are so thankful for her boldness in speaking out and speaking up for the unborn.

This New Bill Could Mandate Unrestricted Access to Abortion

While claiming to protect women’s health, this legislation fails to acknowledge the physical and mental toll abortion has on women—to say nothing of the unborn female lives being aborted.
