For the first time in its history, Alliance Defending Freedom has a new leader. On Tuesday, Michael Farris was named President, CEO, and General Counsel of the non-profit legal ministry that advocates for religious liberty, the sanctity of life and marriage.
We sat down with him in a special edition of Freedom Matters.
Alan Sears, who served 23 years as the founding CEO, will continue to serve ADF in his new role, Founder of Alliance Defending Freedom.
Mr. Farris was founding president of both the Home School Legal Defense Association and Patrick Henry College (2000) and continues to serve as chairman of the board of HSLDA and chancellor emeritus of PHC. He is a constitutional appellate litigator who has argued before the U.S. Supreme Court, eight federal circuit courts, and in the appellate and supreme courts of 13 states.
