If you saw any of today's House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform hearing concerning Planned Parenthood's taxpayer funding, you know there was plenty of talk about the undercover Center for Medical Progress (CMP) videos. Planned Parenthood has attempted to disparage the videos and claims they're "heavily edited."
But the truth is that if you have access to Youtube you have access to the whole truth about CMP’s investigation of Planned Parenthood. Forensic analysis of the undercover Planned Parenthood videos by Coalfire Systems, a highly accredited forensic analysis and cybersecurity company that does work for Fortune 500 companies, determines that the videos are authentic with no evidence of manipulation.
Representative Diane Black of Tennessee used some of her floor time to update the committee on the findings.
To be fair, there is a catch. The full-footage videos were edited in the sense that some parts were edited out. Here are the top three things that the Center for Medical Progress edited out of the Planned Parenthood videos:
Mmmmmm turkey sandwich and chewing noises—come on, that's great TV! Then again, these videos were hard enough to stomach as it is, so maybe it's a good thing the eating scenes were edited out?
I bet everyone watching the Planned Parenthood videos was wondering to themselves if it was sunny or overcast outside that day, or which radio stations the investigators listened to on their way to meet with Planned Parenthood executives. On the other hand, maybe viewers were too shocked to think of anything else than the innocent children being dissected on glass pie plates at Planned Parenthood to care much about David Daleiden's commute... You be the judge.
3. Bathroom breaks
No one wants to see that. Just…no.
Spread the word far and wide—the undercover videos are not fake. It’s time for Planned Parenthood to stop trying to divert attention from its senior executives' own words.
