Marjorie Dannenfelser is a wife, mother of five children, a former Capitol Hill Lobbyist, and the President and an original organizer of the Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), a national pro-life group of more than 465,000 members nationwide dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates to reduce and ultimately end abortion.
Since its founding, the SBA List has helped elect more than 100 pro-life candidates to the U.S. House of Representatives, 20 to the U.S. Senate, and 16 to other statewide offices across the country. Along with its partners Women Speak Out PAC and the SBA List Candidate Fund, Susan B. Anthony List spent $17 million to counterstrike the “war on women” in the last election cycle on an unprecedented ground campaign.
Marjorie, a convert to the cause, has faced significant opposition and pushback from opponents of her pro-life message, she refuses to be silenced or intimidated.
Subject of a recent article entitled “The Intensity Gap: Can a pro-life platform win elections?” in The New Yorker magazine, the piece showcased Marjorie’s political strategy and firm belief that fighting for life is not only morally right, but politically smart. She was lately named one of The Washington Examiner’s top ten “Political Women on the Move,” one of Newsmax’s top 25 Most Influential Republican Women and among Newsweek’s top ten “Leaders of the Christian Right.”
